The UXP-TRS4KQ-2 standalone gateway accepts up to two HDMI inputs or provides up to two HDMI outputs (software defined), in addition to audio and USB. The UXP-TRS4KQ-2 is a compact standalone device that dissipates heat by convection air flow with the use of a heatsink, thus the UXP-TRS4KQ-2 is an ideal gateway for applications where silence is key. In addition to two HDMI inputs or outputs, the -2U version of the product offers USB 2.0, which can be sent at full bandwidth over your 1GbE network.
Using 1Gbps Ethernet the UXP-TRS4KQ-2 encapsulates video, audio, USB 2.0 (with the -2U version), and Ethernet control data at the same time. The UXP-TRS4KQ-2 supports up to two HDMI 2.0a inputs or outputs (software defined and dependent on network bandwidth) and transports them with ultra low latency over its 1GbE links.
The UXP-TRS4KQ-2 is a managed element of the NUCLEUS platform which is controlled by the NUCLEUS Session Manager — a full featured centralized management server used for the configuration, control, and orchestration of the UXP AV gateways. Any combination of UXP AV gateways can be interconnected using a COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) network switch and then configured and managed by the NUCLEUS Session Manager.
The NUCLEUS platform operates on a simplified configuration framework allowing administrators the ability to set up a fully functional AV distribution network in no time at all without the hassles associated with most AV distribution platforms available on the market today. The process has been streamlined so that a UXP AV gateway can be taken out of the box and be put to use in less than five minutes. Whether big or small, deployments of all sizes are handled the same way, using the same consistent process.
